Artists who have developed a high level of technical mastery
in fine art are encouraged to submit work for Membership. All media except photography, film, and video, are considered for review. Work submitted is evaluated on the basis of conceptual originality, technical mastery, professional presentation.
Applicants who are accepted for Membership status receive the
benefits of an Associate Membership plus: Opportunities to participate in all juried exhibitions, compete for BNAA honors and and awards,
voting privileges, opportunities to serve on the Board of Directors, Internet exposure through the Buffalo Niagara Art Association web site.
Each September the Buffalo Niagara Art Association holds an annual
jury for new members. The 2011 jury will be held September 24th,
at Carnegie Art Center, 240 Goundry Street, North Tonawanda, NY,14120. Drop Off: 10:00 to 11:00 AM. Pick up work: 12:00 PM.
Submission Requirements for the Jury
Applicant must be 18 years or older.
Download the Membership application and bring it with you to the jury.
If you would like to become an Associate Member at this time include
a check for $30 with your application form.
Bring three original works for review. They must have been completed in the past three years.
Works should reflect consistency in style and level of mastery.
Works must be presented in a manner befitting a gallery exhibition
Include a resume and artist statement.
